Catching Falling Tears Through Stone Walls – A Mother & Sons Love
By Demetrice Clifton

She Prayed to God every day to bring you home,
Just the thought of holding you has been 20 plus years too long…
Even through the stone walls, you made her cry,
She was so happy at the person you’ve become,
And that you never gave up; You continued to try.
She is your first True Love, Your Mother, and Your Girlfriend,
So don’t ever give up because she believed in you till the very end.
When you have hard days and it seems too hard to try,
Muh Dear said it’s okay to shed a tear, or maybe even cry.
She’s now God’s Angel, so if you feel a tingle on your face,
She’s wiping your tears from heaven, whispering the sweetest I love you and until we meet again
We’ll never be your first True Love, but with the lessons she taught,
I think it made us strong enough to Stand In!!
I LOVE YOU UNC; Until We Meet Again!!
Uncle Maurice, know that the mere thought of you made her happy. When she heard your voice, she would glow. You’re her Legacy! MAKE HER PROUD
For Uncle Maurice
Lonely Silence

My desolation is a hollow echo wilting my soul
Affection is gone, my passions grow numb
Darkness unending, the light has paled
Alone and secluded inside my frozen existence
The chill is ice covering my soul
My heart is in rigor, a hard facade of protection
Where is my fervor to melt the sorrow?
Where is my fire, my light, my zeal?
The walls of icy asylum are the illusion of shelter
My heart is shattered from its cold hard state
My only reality is the vacant silence of a desolate soul.
Convict’s Cries (English Sonnet)

Convict; my peers brand me, sentenced to years.
These tears unwilling shed, for you I cry.
Vows made, broken by the distance and fears.
Questions without answers, no reasons why.
Inside my cell I stand alone shattered.
Counting the days; anxious for my release.
Laws are changing leaving my hopes scattered.
Everything slowly disappears, including peace.
In tact, now I have stood the test of time.
Abandonment made me stronger, I feel.
At last the storm has pass, again sun shine.
Survived by God’s grace and also his will.
Love had to be lost before it was gained.
Love is the cure to heal a convict’s pain.
Women Warriors of Justice

Women of Power, Scouring the earth,
Using their Heavenly voice, telling the world of our Worth!
Amy in the west, taking Washington DC by storm,
Championing her fight for the incarcerated, while they’re being reborn!
Anrica holds the fort down, doing all she CAN-DO,
Organizing and reloading Amy’s arsenal; she’s determined to see the mission through.
Kimberly is in the South, using her V.O.I.C.E. to spread the news,
That America is doing to her children, what Hitler did to the Jews.
She won’t rest, until her VOICE is heard loud and clear;
A relentless Warrior, she has no fear!
Now I heard of a Legendary Warrior, Whose power is on the RISE,
She moves Beneath The Surface, causing injustices’ demise!
Sabrina’s Mission, is to Empower the Kings & Queens within;
Arming them with Hopes & Dreams, by letting them use their PEN!
Oh, But Wait:
In the East, God Commands the EMBRACER(Habbukah) to Return;
Thus, The Stones Will Cry Out, and the tombs will burn.
Though Warrior Domita, is soft spoken, She’s intensely Fierce;
She uses the Voices of the Stones, So injustices’ veil will be pierced!
These are True Lady Justices, who wear no scarf on their eyes,
Exposing Mass Incarceration, by uncovering Corporate Injustice’s Lies!
These Warriors, Call on GOD for their Strength;
And there is no doubt in my mind, That they are all HEAVEN SENT!
Salute the Lady Justices of Can-Do Foundation, V.O.I.C.E., SWCO, and BTSPublishing!
It’s because of them, The Incarcerated and their families have HOPE!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WARRIOR QUEEN; Inez “Muh Dear” Clifton – Rest In Peace! (June 16th)

Anguished Heart

It weeps with sadness…it screams with shame
It longs for freedom unbound from the chains
Confined in remorse it abides in recluse
Alone in silence, in anguish, in pain
Just one taste of compassion fulfills its desire
The hunger is fatal, satisfaction essential
Tenderness, affection, devotion it requires
To be adored, to feel alive again.

Your fingertips soothe.
They are like a gentle breeze,
blowing so softly.
Meet Maurice:
He was raised in a loving home, and with a STRONG FATHER AND A LOVING MOTHER, in the Mississippi Delta, when and where it was very hard on the black family structure due to a high volume of racial violence and sharecropping to survive……..
