Drako Sullivan
Author’s Bio

I’m Drako Sullivan, and this is my birth given name. Unfortunately, gun makers decided to name an assault weapon, Draco. One thing I strongly resent. But this is a free world, right. (Lol) Anyway, I am a native of Greenville, S.C. I have always enjoyed reading and writing, but it wasn’t until I was incarcerated that I developed a deep passion for writing.  I am amazed by the magic in words. Writing has allowed me to express my thoughts and share some of my emotions. Through my writings, I look to educate, inform, and entertain. I hope that I bring smiles and lots of laughter to all readers of my work. I also look to motivate, inspire, and encourage all. I believe that greatness lies within us all, we just have to believe that it does and be willing to bring it forth. Thank you, for reading my selections!  Enjoy and please share with all of your friends and family. Please feel free to leave feedback, no matter what your thoughts are. If you have any suggestions and/or wish to write me:

Maurice Clifton aka “Sippi”
Author’s Bio

I  was raised in a loving home, and with a STRONG FATHER AND A LOVING MOTHER, in the Mississippi Delta, when and where it was very hard on the black family structure due to a high volume of racial violence and sharecropping to survive.

Still, I manage to graduate high school and was on the honor roll most of my years. Somehow, I manage to stay away from the ways I was raised and tried the STREET LIFE!! As you see, it landed me here in federal prison for 400 months(33 years 4 months) in which I have served 21 years and 4 months of that, as a first time offender for “Aiding & Abetting” the sale of 6.4 grams of cocaine. This is not a misprint, but facts… I have two officers on my case who have been convicted for various crimes yet, I remain in prison because of the UNBALANCE OF RACIAL JUSTICE in the FEDERAL JUDICIAL SYSTEM especially in the Northern District of Mississippi, voted to be the most racially biased district in the United States.

I chose writing because writing allows me to vent without the use of violence, guns or hatred! It keeps me mentally free and sane. On this journey, I have lost so many people along the way, but I refuse to give in to the injustices of man, for ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME!!

My writings are the opinion of ME AND MY THOUGHTS ONLY! It’s not written to be biased, but to serve as truths!! My TRUTHS!! Some will be conscious, some humorous, some tributes to the STRONG BLACK WOMAN, some to our race. I love talking about issues that deals with US AS A PEOPLE!!

WE MUST FIRST LEARN TO LOVE IN ORDER TO LEARN TO HEAL!! STOP HURTING, START LOVING AND THEN YOU CAN START HEALING!!

Be BLESSED AND ENJOY ME!!

Respectfully,

Maurice “Sippi” Clifton

Pay-Tience

Pay-Tience is not just a name, it’s a way of life. Being the next to the youngest of nine and having only my mother to depend on, I learned the meaning of Pay-Tience.

My conditions taught me principles like love, honor, loyalty, and respect. These very principles for me to defend a life that takes and give nothing in return.

Now I’m learning the true meaning of Pay-Tience, because I’m now serving twenty years. So, in a quest to reach my creative potential, I aim to give you all what you have been searching for… some PAY-TIENCE.
